I just wanted to tell this story,
Over the past few weeks i have looked at my life as it is now,
Alhumdulillah every day gets better, nothing outstanding but i am alive and happy really happy.
Last year I became Muslim during Ramadam, I had been reading about Islam and decided to go to the Mosque 2 weeks into Ramadam I was so scared i didnt know what to expect. What lovely wemon Muslimas are straight away they made me feel accepted and helped me learn what I needed to know. It has been 8 months now I am living in a better house its warm and not falling down, my landlords are Muslim and they
are the best may Allah bless them, I am healthy first time in years,
happy, I dont remember when I was happy last and soon to be married.
My life since I became Muslim has really changed and I just want to say that I am so happy that Allah guided me to Islam. Alhumdulillah

I have been asked to say why I became Muslim.
As a child my Mum told me to seek the truth and to make up my own mind about religion. I was at the time going through the first confession and confirmation as a catholic and had been kicked out of sunday school for asking to many questions and making the other children think about their religion.
I never liked praying to the statues and started looking at other christian religions, then buddism and hinduism could not find what seemed to be the truth - too many gods/idols or the concept of we are god as in new age. I couldn't agree with any of these concepts.
For a while I gave up and sort of made up my own set of beliefs with Great spirit at the top. Then I stared working in a Muslim area and found books to read on Islam wow this was what I had been looking for the truth at last and so I kept reading until I felt the confiedence and need to go to the Mosque and I believe it is the best thing I ever did in my life. I live in Australia.

Salam Sr. Sadiqah
Your post is so touching and encouraging. Often I hear about how Muslims neglect reverts and fail to keep in touch with them and help with their needs. I hear so much negative, the good is often overlooked. But this makes me so happy. Masha-Allah I'm so happy for you. ^_^
