Diary of an Umrah Story

    Masjid Al-Qiblatain

One of the famous mosques we visited was the Masjid al-Qiblatain. It was where the Prophet saw received revelation in the middle of a prayer to change the direction they were facing from Jerusalem to Makkah. The masjid still retains the prayer niche facing Jerusalem, hence the name Qiblatain -- mosque of the 2 qiblas.

    Meeqat Masjid

    Meeqat Masjid of Madinah

    Masjid Jumu'ah

Masjid built where the prophet saw first offered his Jum'ah prayer in Madinah.

    Masjid Ghamama

Masjid Ghamama - called the Mosque of "Clouds" because the prophet saw once led Istaqa (the rain prayer) here and suddently the clouds appeared and it started raining. It's also called Masjid Eid because the prophet saw and sahaba used to offer the Eid prayers here.
