Description: MCT is the Muslim Community of Troy which together with MSA of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute takes care of Masjid Al-Hidaya. The Masjid is located just off the highway and is more student oriented. It is a small house to the left as soon as you turn into 15th St. Sisters entrance is on the side. Both sisters and brothers actively attend. Jumahs are held in the RPI Armory as the Masjid is too small to accomodate.

Classes: There are weekly halaqas for the general public on Fridays at 6:30pm-9:00pm (first hour Quran) and Sundays at 11:00am-2:00pm (first hour Quran). The halaqas are taught by various people like the Imam Djafer or Sh. Mokhtar. There is an established weekend school for the kids. Their classes vary from Sat/Sun to Fri/Sun and sometimes an extra day during the week for memorization. There are special higher level classes on Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:30pm until 9:00pm. These are currently taught by Sh. Mokhtar and cover books such as Futuh al-Ghayb

From the North:
Take I-87, the Adirondack Northway, south to exit 7 east. Get on Route 7 headed eastbound. Follow directions below.

From the East:
Take I-90 (Massachusetts Turnpike, Berkshire Spur of the New York Thruway), to exit B1. Continue west (13.5 miles) to I-787 north to Route 7 east, exit 9E. Disregard the sign for Rensselaer and Russell Sage College at the previous exit. Exit 9E, Route 7 east, provides an easier approach to campus. Follow directions below.

From the West:
Take I-90, the New York State Thruway, to exit 24. From exit 24, take I-87 north, exit 1N, to exit 7 east. Follow directions below.

Directions to Masjid al Hidaya:
Cross the Collar City Bridge and follow signs for Route 7, Hoosick Street. At the 4th traffic light, turn right onto 15th Street. On your right after a few houses you will see the mosque (a white house) number 2339. You can park on the street wherever the signs say it's ok.

Directions to the RPI Armory basement (jumah location):
Cross the Collar City Bridge and follow signs for Route 7, Hoosick Street. At the 4th traffic light, turn right onto 15th Street. Keep going down until you pass underneath the pedestrian bridge walkway. On the left you will see a castle like building that is the armory. You can park on the street and pay the meter or look for a place farther away on the street wherever the signs say it's ok.

Description: ICCD is located in the more suburban area of Colonie/Schenectady. It is a purpose-built Masjid and has an attached full time Islamic school across the street.

Classes: There are halaqas on Fridays and Sundays taught by Imam Kobeisy.
